SEMINAR FOR THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLES VOLUNTARY SECTOR on SOCIAL WORK AND SOCIAL CARE TRAINING and DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES

19 Jun 2008 - 13:30
19 Jun 2008 - 16:30
Etc/GMT+1

We are writing to invite colleagues from the voluntary sector working with children, young people and families who employ social work and social care staff to a attend an information seminar on 19th  June 2008 in London. Please pass on this invitation if one of your colleagues would be more appropriate.

There are currently a series of initiatives regarding social work and social care training and development for those working with children, young people and families which can be confusing especially when they are announced separately. Some of these programmes include specific funding streams for the voluntary sector.

NCVCCO is convening a seminar so that voluntary organizations can learn about these different initiatives in one place. The seminar will include a short introduction to each programme, see below and  an opportunity to  ask questions and to suggest possible future events/support from NCVCCO regarding social care and social work training and development .

We apologise for the short notice but we felt that it was important to convene such an introductory meeting soon as the funding streams will be announced in the next few weeks.
