Enhanced engagement with statutory youth provision regionally

Objectives
  • WMVYSF group to deliver work plan to management group detailing time line, targets and  objectives.
  • build the capacity of the voluntary and community sector to engage on equal terms through the emerging Regional Youth Work Unit (RYWU)
  • Connect the work of RYWU back to the  Growing Up Strategic Group and related networks

The purpose of the day is to:

Provide current information on this strategy
Discuss the opportunities and threats to the sector
Generate ideas about how to engage with these developments
To that end we have secured the services of:

 

Joy Warmington
Chief Executive, Birmingham Race Action Partnership
who will present  on the experience of the sector in Birmingham with LAAs, and to lead discussions on the agenda items above.

 

The day will be facilitated by Carl Miller from the Office of Public Management (OPM), who will then provide a position paper for the sector that can be used as a tool to support organisations locally and regionally.
